On October 5th, 1940 this car shipped new to a dealer in Hartford, Connecticut. Little is known about the car until 1997 when it was found in a North Seattle storage unit where it had been for some time in a state of abandoned restoration. In 1998, the then new owner began a thorough and correct restoration. The body was removed from the frame; the car was completely disassembled allowing every part from major mechanical components to the smallest nuts and bolts to be addressed. Restoration was completed in April 2010. The current owners purchased the car in October 2021. By October 2022, they realized that lacquer had been put over an incompatible paint requiring the car to immediately begin a body-off paint job which Manns Restoration completed in June 2024. This is the most rare of the coveted Series 62 Cadillacs built; it is one of approximately 60 known to survive.
